Default Trawlercat Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I live at the Point Fermin end of San Pedro which happens to be the southernmost point of Los Angeles county. The launch ramp is 5 minutes away with Catalina Island 18 miles as the crow flies. I was born on the big island of Cuba - to not Ricky and Lucy but to Rafael and Esther.

My weekly training rides are all offshore, preferably WOT riding. I've got an 08 Kaw Ultra with issues and an 07 Seadoo GTX presently in the hands of the best PWC mechanic in SoCal - getting ready for the Mark Hahn 300 mile endurance race - Lake Havasu.

I enjoy writing and like to believe I have all the required USCG credentials and seamanship hours on the water to know what I talk about. I wrote the expedition plan for my friend John Lang whom I'll be joining in Anchorage May 19th for an 1850 mile ride around the Aleutian peninsula, Alaska. Read the full story by me in the Jan/Feb issue of RIDE magazine.

See you on the water, Trawlercat
